I’ve felt so much better every time I look at it ever since.. You don’t often get to see in our bedroom because it’s half-torn apart and also not really a renovating priority right now, but that’s where the dresser is, so today’s your lucky day!.I did the most boring, unimaginative thing to it: I painted it white and stuck on some new hardware, and I couldn’t be happier with it.. And the white?
It’s not even a cool distressed chalk-paint antique white, in fact it’s the opposite.I went completely un-trendy and did it in a super duper glossy shiny bright white..I needed that.. Here’s how it looked before:.
Don’t you love how much junk fell out of the drawers in just the one year we’ve been here?We don’t even use this dresser that much, in fact it’s going to be going upstairs into the room we’ve just started working on..
It was given to us by a friend who was moving a couple of years ago and we were just holding on to it until we got around to fixing it up..
Living in this house that’s mostly kind of trashed, hasn’t been renovated for about 30-40 years in a lot of the rooms, with all these dark finishes that never seem to be really clean kind of gets to me sometimes.You’ll probably need to detail dust with a soft cloth every once in awhile, but your vacuum can take care of most of the everyday dust for you so much more quickly and effectively!.
This is one of my favorites!You know those bits of food that collect under the grates on your stove?
Or those crumbs in the fridge?Instead of taking everything apart and trying to pick all the mini debris up with about a hundred passes with a paper towel, just use your crevice tool and vacuum up all the mess!
